I was waiting for the council bin people today before posting in the hope that they'd do the right thing, but shouldn't have held my breath. They are beyond useless, and beyond lazy, but (sadly) exactly what I expected! We, they advise, "left out excess waste" so they left it.A year back we had one wheelie bin for 6 people per week. Now we have one wheelie bin for 6 people for 2 weeks, and this week for 6 people (plus guests and Christmas) one bin over over 2.5 weeks. So of course we have more than one bin full.We could have a bonfire. We could take it to the depot, or we could fly tip it (not to be condoned, but I certainly understand why people do). But we pay the council to remove it for us. But they don't.There's little or nothing I can do, and they're immune to bad publicity, as we're not customers to them; they get the money whatever happens. So, the rubbish will pile up, the foxes will have a field day, and the piles more that accumulate on the way to the next collection on 10th January will just make our town more of a scrappy dump than it it already looks.I would stick it all in a Councillors front garden. That would help the healing process, but someone did the before, and look at what happened that time.Hey ho.
