Local hospital charity CW+ is calling on residents across west London to make 2026 the year they take on “something unforgettable”, as it launches a new calendar of fundraising challenge events in support of West Middlesex University Hospital.

The charity, which supports both West Mid and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is offering a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities — from adrenaline-fuelled skydives to community-focused runs and treks.

The 2026 programme follows a successful year of fundraising challenges in 2025, which saw supporters complete night-time 10Ks, half marathons and even 10,000ft jumps to raise money for local NHS services.

Among the standout events for 2026 are:

  • A charity abseil at West Middlesex University Hospital, giving participants the rare chance to descend the hospital building while raising funds for patient care
  • The Ealing Half Marathon, a popular closed-road race attracting runners from across west London
  • Skydives at locations around the UK
  • The Thames Bridges Trek, crossing some of London’s most iconic river crossings
  • The Royal Parks Half Marathon, a scenic 13.1-mile route through Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens

Funds raised will help CW+ continue its work to enhance patient experience and clinical environments, including supporting the new Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) at West Mid with state-of-the-art equipment, artwork and patient-centred design features.

Chloe Roberts, Public Fundraising Manager at CW+, said the events offer a meaningful way for residents to give back.

“Our challenge events bring people together to support their local hospital. Whether you’re taking on a personal goal or trying something completely new, we’ll be there to support you every step of the way as you raise funds that make a real difference to patients and staff.”
